On Monday morning Devon complained that bugs were biting his tummy.
“It’s chicken pox,” Shauna said after having one look at the ‘bites’.
“No way,” I said. “He’s vaccinated — the odds are 99 to 1 against it.”
“It’s chicken pox,” the doctor said when she saw him the next day. “Good thing he’s vaccinated.”
Aside from being extra sleepy and cuddly, Devon hardly had any symptoms. His ‘bites’ dried up in three days and he was clear to go back to school on Thursday. Whew … the little guy really dodged a bullet.
