We had a tiny emergency before Devon’s graduation: we let him eat a whole bucket of mulberries and accidentally turned him into a smurf. Scrubbing him in the bathtub did nothing:
“It will be fine — he has a perfect five o’clock shadow,” I said. Shauna disagreed, so after some frantic googling we found that dousing him in lemon juice removes the stains quite nicely.
Devon was pretty excited to go to his graduation, but didn’t particularly care about me taking photos of him:
The graduation was short and sweet. The kids got diplomas, a high five, and got to sing a lovely song. Devon trumpeted along using his diploma as a vuvuzela.
After the ceremony we celebrated with cookies, playtime, tacos and ice cream. He’s such a big boy now and we’re so proud of him.
