We spent a long time this spring trying to bunny-proof our vegetable yard: we installed chicken fences, raised beds, and turned our lawn into a clover field to give the bunnies something else to eat.
And our efforts paid off: the bunnies have not eaten our kale like in previous years. Instead they got some help from their friends the caterpillars. Most of our kale disappeared overnight due to these very hungry guys:
Luckily Devon is learning to look after the yard. He got a lawnmower for his birthday, and we hope he figures out how to use it soon, because I clearly forgot how to use mine:
